Marisol is one of Brazil's largest apparel companies and owner of some of the country's best-known casual adult's and children's wear brands. In 2001 it had a turnover of US$108 million, and its 5100 employees produced 35 million items of clothing, nine million pairs of socks and six and a half million pairs of babies and children's shoes. It now has its sights set on expansion into the US and EU markets.
