The National Retail Federation has selected US fashion firm Polo Ralph Lauren for its Gold Medal Award in retail.
Fashion operators Zappos.com and Fast Retailing will also receive awards at the Annual Retail Industry Luncheon at NRF's Annual Convention in January.
"Despite the economy, retailers are finding ways to listen to their customers' needs and provide innovative, unique ways to stay ahead of the competition," said NRF President and CEO Tracy Mullin. "The distinguished award winners this year have inspired the industry through their leadership and forward-thinking. NRF is honored to recognise them."
Roger Farah, president and chief operating officer of Polo Ralph Lauren is accepting on behalf of the company.
Meanwhile Tony Hsieh, CEO, Zappos.com, will collect the Retail Innovator of the Year and Tadashi Yanai, chairman and CEO, Fast Retailing will collect International Retailer of the Year.
