SPAIN: Garment making machinery added to ITMA mix

Organisers of the ITMA trade show are broadening its reach to include technologies for garment making, alongside its more traditional focus on the textile sector.

The next event, which is being held in Barcelona in Spain from 22-29 September 2011, marks the shows 60th anniversary, and organisers plan to showcase the entire value chain from spinning to garment making, textile processing, technical textiles, logistics and distribution.

New features also being launched include ITMA awards to honour top industry achievers, an enhanced Research & Education Pavilion, an ITMA Forum and a series of workshops.

The ITMA 2011 exhibition is expected to cover over 100,000 square metres and attract more than 1,400 international exhibiting companies.
