US: Barry Erdos appointed as Bluefly's president

Barry Erdos has joined online fashion retailer Bluefly as president, COO and acting CFO.

Erdos has been a director on the Bluefly board since February 2005 and will now oversee the company's operations and finance responsibilities.

"Barry is the consummate retail executive with an incredible track record," said Melissa Payner, CEO of Bluefly. "I am looking forward to partnering with him on the continuing evolution of the Bluefly brand."

Erdos joins Bluefly from Build a Bear Workshop, where he had been president and chief operating officer. Prior to that he was the chief operating officer and a director of Ann Taylor Stores Corporation and Ann Taylor.

The retailer also announced that Patrick Barry would resign as an executive officer of the company and as its COO and CFO. Barry has been with Bluefly since July of 1998 and will remain at the company through a transition period.
