The Textile Institute presents ‘The Sustainable Way’

Join The Textile Institute Manchester and Cheshire Section and The Textile Institute Sustainable, Environmental and Ethical Special Interest Group on 2 December at the first ever joint networking event.
The Celebrity Lecture ‘The Sustainable Way’ will provide an opportunity to gain an insight into Defra’s Sustainability Roadmap and a way forward with REACH and Substances of Very High Concern.
Dr Dorothy Maxwell, Lead Sustainable Clothing Roadmap, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) will bring the audience up to date on the UK Government’s sustainability initiative, while Asif Shah, business development manager, Shirley Technologies Ltd will talk about the legislation involved in REACH and substances of very high concern.
Taking place at the Friends Meeting House, in Manchester, from 6.30pm the event is free, but places are limited.
