Garment Care Labeling 

Hi, Does anyone else find the issues of Fibre content and Wash care labeling extremely confusing?
I am looking for simple, comprehensive information regarding the legal requirements.
Do we have to stipulate wash care in writing and symbols?.... how many symbols are required? I have been told that you always have to use 5 symbols by one person, but another person has told me that the only legal requirement is the written instructions and that symbols are optional?
Does anyone have any good info to share about this?
