CHINA: Garment exporters baulk at Asian living wage plans 

Paying textile workers a salary of US$475, the amount called for by the Asia Floor Wage Alliance, is not feasible, say Chinese garment exporters.

What a great idea!!!, All AFW need to do is convince or persuade the buyers to increase there FOBs by 220%. I mean realy, how can they afford it?. Tesco only made 1.5 Billion GBP in the first 6 month. How can they survive???. I wish AFW all the very best to achieve the goals, But lets be honest it will NEVER happen. Note the 5% profit the factory makes, just about staying alive and keeping people of the streets and out of the fields. Sad
