JAPAN: Sumitex to produce washable RFID tag

Japanese textile maker Sumitex International, working with RFID tag manufacturer Toppan Printing, has developed a washable IC tag for linens and uniforms that need not be detached during laundering and is ignored by pre-wash metal and needle detectors.
