Prym Whitecroft, manufacturers and distributors of haberdashery related products from buttons to household scissors will be implementing Microsoft Dynamics- GP at the Prym Group’s UK HQ to help integrate their business.
Richard Holden, Managing Director said “Our principal aims were to move to a much more modern system, not least because the costs of maintaining the current system are considerably higher than Microsoft Dynamics- GP will be, and the pay-back period is relatively short. Microsoft Dynamics-GP will provide a more easily interrogated system, so that we can benefit from faster access to more detailed information about our business”
Owned by a German based company, Prym Comsumer GmBH & Co KG, the company’s belief is that with their great diversity of sewing and needlecraft products, they all need to stay as sharp as their needles to keep the successes coming. As the leading manufacturer in their sector they offer their partners a comprehensive range of top-quality sewing and needlecraft accessories. With customer-orientated product development and quick reaction to present-day situations, Prym are able to take full, timely advantage of market opportunities allowing their customers and partners to profit from them as well. Amongst their customers and partners are many of the top High Street retailers.
The 20 user Microsoft Dynamics - GP solution will include financial management along with business portal, hardware and project management & training services, distribution and manufacturing modules provided by Gold Partner, Syscom PLC. The system is due to go live in October this year and be implemented across Prym Whitecroft and Prym Intimates Europe.
“We chose Syscom on the basis of our long standing relationship, without which we may not have had the confidence to subject ourselves to this potentially traumatic upheaval” commented Richard.
Currently running an Impcon system, initially provided by Syscom over 15 years ago, Whitecroft and Syscom embarked on an extensive consultation exercise to help determine the future IT strategy for the company.
This process consisted of a detailed investigation of Whitecroft’s business processes, future plans and the requirements for the replacement ERP software. This led to Syscom recommending Microsoft Dynamics - GP to Whitecroft as an ideal solution. The suitability and fit of Microsoft Dynamics - GP was then assessed by a series of workshops and software demonstrations to the board and senior management team. Following this detailed appraisal, Whitecroft concluded that Microsoft Dynamics -GP represents an ideal solution for the company and one that will deliver significant and measurable benefits throughout the business in terms of efficiency gains and on-going cost savings.
