Portuguese apparel manufacturers exported T-shirts to Germany worth $53.7 million in 2001 - giving it a 4.4 per cent share of Germany's imported T-shirt market, figures revealed today. According to the Portuguese Centre for Applied Textile Studies (CENESTAP), Portugal was the sixth biggest exporter of T-shirts to Germany. It added Turkey was the main exporter of T-shirts to Germany last year after it enjoyed an amazing 917 per cent year-on-year surge in exports by volume.
