Textile producer Delta Woodside Industries is seeking a new controller and principal accounting officer after the departure of David R Palmer from the post.

Palmer resigned from the company on 21 July to "pursue other interests", the company said. It is currently interviewing candidates for his replacement.

In the interim, Palmer's responsibilities have been taken over by W H Hardman Jnr, executive VP, CFO, treasurer and secretary of the company.

Delta Woodside's subsidiary, Delta Mills, manufactures and sells textile products to the clothing industry and operates two plants in South Carolina.
