FRANCE/LATIN AMERICA: Adidas appoints new country MDs

Adidas has appointed new leaders for its businesses in Latin America and France.
The sportswear brand has appointed Adidas France managing director, André Maestrini as managing director of the group's Spanish Latin Amercan operations.
He will replace Charlie Maurath, who is leaving the company to become president of Under Armour's international business.
Maestrini will be replaced by Alain Pourcelot, who is currently brand director of Adidas in France. They will both report directly to Roland Auschel, chief sales officer for multi-channel markets Adidas group.
The company said the importance of Brazil as a market and in light of the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup where Adidas is the official sponsor, supplier and licensee, means that Aushcel will take responsibility for this division.
Adidas do Brasil will continue to be led by Fernando Basualdo as managing director.
