adidas-Salomon AG has been selected to join the Dow Jones Sustainability Group Index for the second time in a row. The index is a global first and tracks performance of the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide.

"Inclusion in the DJSGI for the second time in a row recognises our involvement, commitment and progress in social and environmental affairs," says David Husselbee, global director for Social & Environmental Affairs at adidas-Salomon AG. "We are dedicated to socially responsible, safe and environmentally sustainable practices in our company and our supply chain."

The DJSGI, introduced last year, measures sustainability on a global basis. Based on the Dow Jones Global Index, it is diversified across all market sectors and industry groups. Companies included in the DJSGI are considered industry leaders in strategic areas such as social, environmental and long-term economic dimensions.

In July 2001 adidas-Salomon was also included in the FTSE4Good Europe Index. This index was designed by FTSE, one of the world's leading global index providers.
