As part of their ongoing effort to enhance the talent pool in the fashion industry, Project Solvers, the premier resource for free agent fashion talent, will be holding a job fair on Wednesday, June 21, 2000.

The fair is free and targeted for both fashion professionals and recent fashion school graduates who want to upgrade their presentation and job search skills. Some of the areas of focus will be:

  • Effective resume writing
  • How to put together an outstanding portfolio
  • Marketing Tips such as business cards, email, voice mail, etiquette, etc.

``Everyone is always complaining how scarce qualified candidates are,'' says Anne Maxfield, President and co-Founder of Project Solvers. ``Talent is at a premium, but part of the problem is due to the fact that many talented people don't know how to present themselves. Their resumes and portfolios don't reflect their true abilities. We want to prepare new graduates for the marketplace and help those already in the workforce expand their marketability so they can work more and be better compensated.''

In addition to having stations set up for advising attendees individually, the Project Solvers Fashion Job Fair will include a free seminar featuring ``Marketing Yourself for a Fashionable Career.'' Candidates must call ahead to register for the seminar.
