Clothing and footwear retailer Alexon revealed on Monday its pre-tax profits more than doubled to £20.7 million, primarily due to solid performances from its Envy and Bay Trading units. The group saw its sales for the 12 months to January 26 climb 9.7 per cent to £373.6m and same-store sales surge 9.3 per cent, although its Dolcis footwear business disappointed as it lost £600,000.
