RFID specialist Alien Technology has secured a new garment tracking installation deal with the apparel division of Eren Holding.

Alien teamed up with STS, its retail specialist partner in eastern Europe, to provide a complete RFID traceability solution for Eren, which has 88 stores throughout Turkey.

Alien said Eren, which manufactures and distributes nearly 2m garments a year, had wanted to improve its supply chain traceability process and to reduce inventory control and labour costs.

Arif Yaratan, marketing manager of STS, said: "Eren Holding is one of the most prestigious retailers in Turkey, and distributes Lacoste, Burberry, Calvin Klein and Coach brands throughout Turkey and Russia, so it was an honour to handle such a high-profile manufacturer/retailer of such well-established clothing brands."
