US: American Eagle revives AE Artist jeans

By | 23 July 2009

Apparel group American Eagle Outfitters is bringing back its best-selling AE Artist jeans as part of the company's back-to-school denim collection this year.

The company, which says AE Artist was its best-selling jean ever, is offering a free T-shirt to customers who buy a pair, to mark the return of the product and the launch of this year's back-to-school denim collection.

The original AE Artist product was offered from back-to-school 2006 to the summer of 2008, with a skinny flare leg style shared by the relaunch product.

The new AE Artist jean comes in six washes, with varying degrees of destruction, and is priced from US$29.50-49.50.

To support the relaunch, American Eagle is planning a multi-city outdoor advertising campaign in the US, featuring model Madisyn Ritland. The campaign will also include mall advertising in key markets.
