Officials from the Thai Apparel Industry Association on Thursday forecast a four per cent year-on-year rise in garment exports in 2003.

Industry chiefs said they expect to reverse the four per cent slip in clothing exports last year to $3.13 billion, with sales seen up in all key markets.

However, the future does not look so bright for the nation's leather goods exports according to bosses of the Thai Leather Goods Association who have forecast a 30 per cent slump.
