The All Pakistan Textile Mills Association has responded to positively to calls from the Indian Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association to look into the possibility of joint ventures between the two countries industries. Aptma chairman Abid Farooq told reporters that the industry would welcome Indian companies looking to establish joint ventures following the advice of the vice chairman of the Indian Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association, GT Dembla, who claimed that India's specialist knowledge on textile machinery and Pakistan's knowledge of the textile trade could prove beneficial to both countries.
