Lower prices, better quality and quicker replenishment form the three-pronged strategy with which UK supermarket group Asda hopes to see off its rivals in 2002. Speaking at a preview of the chain's George spring/summer 2002 collection, Andy Bond, managing director of the range, said that over the coming year, Asda will use its combined scale with parent Wal-Mart to further slash prices, while at the same time improving quality.
