US: Ashlee Simpson designs tops for Wet Seal

Women's wear retailer The Wet Seal will launch a new collection of tops designed by singer Ashlee Simpson in conjunction with her latest CD release.

The chain will launch a collection of tops designed by Simpson in the US on 22 April, the same day her new album Bittersweet World is released.

"Ashlee is a role model for our girl and her fun and flirty sense of style is an inspiration for the line," said Ed Thomas, the company's CEO.

"The goal was to partner with an icon and deliver affordable fashion, and Ashlee is an ideal partner for this."

The Wet Seal currently operates 494 stores in 47 US states.
