Fashion group Austin Reed today revealed a 21 per cent climb in 2001 pre-tax profits to £8.2 million and said its prospects for the current fiscal year were bright. In a statement, the company said turnover in the year to January 30 rose six per cent to £116.2m and that like-for-like sales in the first eight weeks of fiscal 2003 were up 10 per cent on the year-ago period.
