The Baltic republics could be the next key source for cloth buyers seeking both quality textiles and leather suitable for the luxury clothing trade. Weavers and tanners from republics that were formerly satellites of the old Soviet Union - Lithuania, Lativa and Estonia - as well as well from modern Russia were eager participants in the Baltic Textile and Leather Fair which took place in Vilnius recently, attracting over the course of the four-day event some 23,000 visitors.
