California-based marketer and retailer of activewear and casual sportswear, Big Dog Holdings Inc, has revealed it widened its first quarter net loss to $2.8 million from $2.4m in the year-ago period. The operator of 206 outlets said sales fell 12 per cent to $15.2m from $17.5m due to the axing of nine stores with same-store sales down 12.4 per cent for the quarter ended March 31.
