BLC Leather Technology Centre Ltd (BLC) has set up a partnership with Intertek Shanghai to offer a range of testing and inspection services to China's leather industry.
The agreement will expand the quality of leather testing, certification, technical support and consultation services available in China.
It will cover physical, chemical and whole product testing as well as national and international legal provisions and safety standards.
And testing reports issued by Intertek Shanghai will be recognised and accepted by BLC.
Calvin Yam, president of Intertek Consumer Goods Asia Pacific, says the collaboration "will enable local companies to reap the benefits of having the right mix of expert solutions in their very own backyard."
