Textile maker Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company has posted a 65.58 per cent rise in net profit to INR535 million for fiscal 2003, up from INR323.1m in the previous year.

The company also reported a 7.5 per cent increase in total income to INR9.66 billion for the year, up from INR8.98bn in fiscal 2002.

Widened margins, profits from the sale of assets and lower finance costs drove the improved results.
