Accessory Network Group's affiliate company Brand Science is to buy LeSportsac in alliance with Japanese conglomerate Itochu for an undisclosed price.

1974-established LeSportsac specialises in value-priced nylon bags, accessories and luggage.

Brand Science will oversee global operations of LeSportsac including branding, advertising, public relations, marketing, design, product development, production, and sales.

 The company will continue to service directly the existing markets in North America, South America, Europe and the Middle East.

Itochu will distribute the LeSportsac product line throughout the Asian and Mid-Pacific territories.

Brand Science is also entering into a service agreement with Itochu to provide services to the Asian and MidPacific territories and will work closely with Itochu in building the LeSportsac brand in these markets.

Accessory Network Group manufactures private label and branded accessories. The company currently holds the licenses to produce accessories for Ghurka, Calvin Klein, So Patricia, and Sag Harbor, and has long term license agreements with entertainment companies including the Walt Disney Company, Warner Brothers and Nickelodeon.

Itochu is globally integrated corporation with offices in more than 80 countries, and operations that cover a broad spectrum of industries including textiles, machinery, and chemicals.
