US: Britney Spears fronts Candie's spring campaign

By | 18 February 2010

Britney Spears is to front Iconix Brand Group's spring marketing campaign for junior brand Candie's, available at Kohl's Department Stores.

The 'Britney Spears Through the Lens' campaign will see the singer pictured through the cameras of three famous photographers - Annie Leibovitz, Mark Seliger and Terry Richardson, who shot the singer at Paramount Studios in Hollywood late last year.

The campaign will debut with a four-page insert in the April issue of Seventeen Magazine as well as online at candies.com and Kohls.com.

Leibovitz's photograph features Spears against an industrial backdrop, Richardson photographed Spears on a plain white set, while Seliger created shots including a French burlesque-inspired pink dressing room and a custom-designed pink Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The campaign will be seen in fashion magazines, outdoor billboards, in-store, circulars, online and direct mail. Candie's 'Only at Kohl's' marketing campaign was created by the Iconix in-house marketing team in partnership with Leibovitz, Seliger and Richardson.

Spears has enjoyed five number one albums in ten years as well as 23 Top 40 hits on the US Billboard pop singles chart.
