US: Charming Shoppes adds Bruce Klatsky to board

Women's plus-size apparel retailer Charming Shoppes Inc has appointed Bruce J Klatsky, the former CEO of Calvin Klein owner Phillips-Van Heusen Corp, to its board of directors. 

Klatsky, who will take up the post on 6 May, headed Phillips-Van Heusen from 1992 until 2005, before setting up private equity firm LNK Partners. 

He also serves as chairman of Gazal Ltd, one of the largest publicly traded retail and apparel companies in Australia. 

Bensalem, Pennsylvania based Charming Shoppes operates 2,121 stores under names such as Lane Bryant, Cacique, Fashion Bug, and Catherines Plus Sizes.
