US: Charming Shoppes names Dalrymple to Fashion Bug post

Charming Shoppes has appointed Kady Dalrymple as senior vice president of design and product development for the company's Fashion Bug brand.

Dalrymple has previously worked as executive vice president and fashion director of Express, when it was a division of Limited Brands. Prior to this, she was DKNY's vice president of merchandising.

Jay Levitt, president of the Fashion Bug brand, said: "Kady will play a leadership role in the company's vertical specialty store model initiative, which is a key strategy to integrate and synchronise our product development activities.

"This strategic imperative will speed up the process from design concept to the customer and enable Fashion Bug to design and create merchandise with a unique fashion point of view that will meet the needs of our core customer base.

"Kady's appointment to this role directly supports our strategy to focus on improving our products through distinctive design."
