US: Chico's CEO Edmonds adds chairman’s role

Women's specialty retailer Chico's FAS has appointed its president and CEO Scott A Edmonds to the additional post of chairman of the board.

He will replace Michael Weiss who is leaving to become CEO of Express, the casual clothing chain recently sold by Limited Brands to private equity firm Golden Gate Capital.

Chico's operates 976 women's specialty stores throughout the US, including 579 Chico's units, 268 White House | Black Market stores, and 65 Soma Intimates shops.
