Women's apparel retailer Chico's FAS Inc on Wednesday denied it has a "mandatory uniform policy" after an employee at a California store filed a lawsuit claiming staff are pressurized into wearing the firm's fashions on the job. The Florida-based operator of more than 400 stores said it "intends to vigorously defend against these baseless allegations" which follow similar "wardrobing" suits against clothing retailers such as Gap Inc, Polo Ralph Lauren Corp and Abercrombie & Fitch.
