Richard Paradise, CFO and principal accounting officer at The Children's Place Retail Stores, is set to resign on Friday (1 August) to "pursue another business opportunity", the company said.

Susan Riley, the company's executive vice president, finance and administration, will reassume the role of CFO in addition to her other responsibilities, the retailer confirmed.

"We appreciate Rich's contributions to our organisation as we went through a period of significant change, including the decision to divest the Disney Store North America business," said Riley.

"Rich has been instrumental in helping us reduce the size of our shared services workforce to ensure that we will continue to be a highly competitive value retailer."
