Achieving all the performance goals under his fiscal 2002 bonus plan helped Coach Inc chairman and chief executive Lew Frankfort boost his bonus 42 per cent from the previous year to $942,100.

A regulatory filing on Wednesday from the maker of upscale men's and women's accessories said that because he met specific objectives, Frankfort was eligible for the maximum target bonus of 133 per cent of his annual salary.

For fiscal 2002, Coach Inc reported net income of $85.8 million, or 94 cents a share, on sales of $719.4 million.

The filing also revealed Frankfort exercised options for a realised value of $14.3 million.
