Luxury goods maker Coach Inc on Wednesday reported a 13 per cent rise in quarterly earnings and upped its sales outlook after surviving the choppy US holiday season without slashing prices and increased its sales in Japan. The New York-based handbags and small leather goods manufacturer posted net income for the second quarter to December 29 of $44.2 million, or 99 cents per diluted share, from $39.2m or 88 cents per share, in the same period last year.
