Upmarket goods marketer Coach Inc says that three key executives have signed extensions to stay with the company until August 2001, and has also predicted that quarterly profit will top expectations.

Coach said that chairman and chief executive officer Lew Frankfort, president and executive creative director Reed Krakoff and president and chief operating officer Keith Monda have all signed three-year extensions to their original contracts.

The company also reported that first-quarter results so far are ahead of plan, and that it now expects first-quarter sales and earnings to rise to at least $445 million  and $0.25 per diluted share, respectively, compared to sales of $344m and earnings of $0.17 per share last year.

Lew Frankfort, chairman and chief executive officer, said: "We have seen robust sales continue throughout the summer and into the start of the fall season across all business units."
