Casual clothing retailer Uniqlo has booked a rise in sales at its Japanese stores in November, after colder weather boosted demand for its winter ranges.

The Fast Retailing-owned brand today (3 December) said same-store sales rose 7.7% during the month, compared to the same period last year.

Sales at its own stores (which include new ones that are less than a year old) grew 10% year-on-year, and total sales, including online sales, were up by 9.7%.

Uniqlo opened ten new stores and closed eight in November.
