Leading outerwear designer and manufacturer Columbia Sportswear Co on Wednesday posted a 25.3 per cent jump in second quarter profit as it was boosted by favourable exchange rates and strong overseas sales. The Oregon-based firm said its net income for the 13 weeks ended June 30 rose to a record $9.4 million, or 23 cents a share, from $7.5m, or 19 cents a share, in the year-ago period.
