Body armour manufacturer DHB Industries Inc on Thursday said a court had dismissed a lawsuit which accused the company of making defective bulletproof vests for the New York Police Department.

The company said in a statement a New York court had thrown out the suit brought by shareholder the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 112 Pension Fund. The suit also accused officers and directors of misusing company assets.

DHB said the court attributed the accusations to the "defendants' resistance to labour demands and retaliatory action taken against them".
