US: Dan Hesse resigns from VF Corp board

Dan Hesse has resigned from the board of directors at VF Corporation to focus on his business commitments.

Hesse, president and chief executive officer of mobile phone firm Sprint Nextel Corporation, was elected to VF's board of directors in 1999 and served as a member of its finance and compensation committees.

"Dan has been an outstanding director and has made significant contributions to the success of VF," said chairman Mackey J McDonald.
