US: Dickies announces licensing deal with Strategic Partners

Work and lifestyle apparel brand Dickies has unveiled a new licensing agreement with Strategic Partners for the design, production and distribution of medical channel products.

"Our licensing partnerships continue to evolve so the Dickies brand remains synonymous with high quality products, unique design and innovative marketing," said Dickies vice president of licensing Michael Penn.

"Strategic Partners is the premiere medical uniform company, with a proven track record of product design, quality, marketing and service."

Design and production of Dickies' medical apparel and footwear will begin immediately with marketing and distribution expected to begin in the latter part of 2010.

"Dickies is a powerful brand with a loyal following among medical consumers," said Strategic Partners CEO Michael Singer.

Dickies' portfolio of licensees has work-wear and work-inspired lines including bags, footwear, belts, socks, headwear, sunglasses, kidswear, men's tops and junior girls' apparel in addition to medical wear.

Strategic Partners designs and manufactures medical, school, and footwear uniform categories. It distributes medical apparel under the labels of Cherokee, Baby Phat, Sketchers and Disney, among others.
