Industrial sewing thread and linings specialist Donisthorpe and Company Limited, has appointed Bob McLean to the newly-created position of senior technical advisor in its expanding Moroccan operation.

In addition to managing and implementing a comprehensive range of technical sewing services for Donisthorpe customers in Morocco, Casablanca and Tangier, Bob McLean will be responsible for running a series of technical seminars for customers on 'best practice thread usage'.

Bob McLean's appointment is the direct result of Donisthorpe's plans to create a centre of technical excellence at its Oulja customer service facility - giving UK levels of technical expertise to its customers in and around Morocco.

Bob McLean brings over 30 years of technical expertise to his new position, the last six of which have been supporting Donisthorpe's key accounts in the UK. Prior to Donisthorpe Bob McLean worked with Triumph International Limited as chief engineer, where he was responsible for managing the maintenance of all sewing and ancillary equipment and for the development of bespoke guides and other work aid attachments.

Before Triumph, he worked as a senior machine engineer for garment manufacturers Wrangler Jeans, Playtex, Poco Clothing and James Seddon Shirts and Blouses.
