Branded footwear retailer DSW has promoted two key executives and named two new officers to support its ongoing growth programme.

Deborah Ferree was promoted from president to vice chair and will continue in her role as chief merchandising officer. Ferree joined DSW in 1997 and has held several executive positions with the company.

Peter Horvath, who joined DSW in January 2005 as executive vice president and chief operating officer, was promoted to president.

Additionally, Kevin M Lonergan was named as executive vice president and chief operating officer. His responsibilities will include store operations, new store planning and construction, and loss prevention.

Lonergan is a former executive vice president and COO of Old Navy, a division of apparel leader Gap.

The company also named William Jordan as vice president and general counsel. Jordan most recently served as corporate counsel for Lancaster Colony.
