GERMANY: Escada starts sale process for Primera unit

Luxury women's wear group Escada has started the sale process for its fashion brand subsidiary Primera.

The mandate has been given to a major bank, UniCredit, which will collect offers for Primera from the interested parties over the coming months.

Escada said there were no synergies betweeen Primera and the core business of the Escada brand.

Primera, based in Münster/Westphalia, Germany, comprises of four brands called Apriori, Biba, Cavita and Laurèl, all positioned in the mid- to upper-price segment with a presence predominantly in the German market.
