CHINA: Ever-Glory expands La Go Go concept

Author: | 20 August 2008

Apparel group Ever-Glory International is expanding its La Go Go retail joint venture concept with the opening of two more stores in Shanghai.

The two new women's wear stores, located in City Center Shopping Mall and Longzhimeng Shopping Mall, brings the number of La Go Go stores in Shanghai to four, with 44 more in 21 other Chinese cities.

"We are very confident in our La Go Go retail expansion strategy, as domestic demand continues to grow rapidly," said Edward Yihua Kang, Ever-Glory chairman and CEO.

"Shanghai is an especially important market for La Go Go's development, as we launched the brand to target the urban youth ladies' wear market segment.

Several additional Shanghai stores will open soon, part of our plan to open between 80 and 100 La Go Go stores in China this year."

La Go Go is a retail joint venture between Ever-Glory International and Shanghai La Chapelle Garment and Accessories Company, aimed at young professional women.
