UK: Fashion labelling company sets up European unit

Label manufacturer WFL is opening a new UK office to provide the British and European design and textile industry with a local source of labels and garment trims.

WFL, which already has offices in Los Angeles, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Turkey is locating its new UK and European base in Peterborough.

It will supply a range of labels and packaging to the fashion industry, including woven labels, printed labels, jacquard tapes, zipper pulls and card and paper based printed labels as well as hang tags and luxury gift boxes.

Heading up the UK team is Alistair Atkinson, who says: "Having these products closer to hand will help to simplify the supply chain, ensuring a fast turnaround keeping costs at a minimum."
