US: Finish Line names Bierman VP of digital technology

The Finish Line has appointed Harvey Bierman as vice president of digital technology as the US sportswear chain continues to expand its digital business.

Bierman joins the company from e-commerce solutions provider Demandware, where he most recently served as senior director of global strategic solutions. He has also worked with various footwear clients in the past including Adidas, Crocs, Dick's Sporting Goods, New Balance and Reebok.

"Harvey's appointment is an important step toward driving long-term growth for Finish Line through aggressive expansion of our digital business," said Chris Ladd, executive vice president and chief digital officer for Finish Line.

“As we execute our omni-channel strategy, customers must have a consistently great brand experience when they interact through all channels, including our stores, digital, mobile and social media.”

In the last month, Finish Line has promoted Amber Vanes as vice president of planning and allocation and appointed Jeffrey Sherry as vice president of business development and corporate strategy. 

The sportswear chain also named Greg Beidler senior vice president of store operations.

INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 27, 2012-- The Finish Line, Inc. (NASDAQ: FINL), a leading national retailer of athletic shoes, apparel and accessories, today announced that Harvey Bierman has joined the company as vice president, digital technology.

Bierman has more than 20 years of retail experience, including an extensive background in the footwear industry. He comes to Finish Line after seven years with Demandware, where he most recently served as senior director, global strategic solutions. Prior to Demandware, Bierman held posts as director of marketing for Shoebuy.com and senior online business manager for GSI Commerce Solutions. He has worked with numerous footwear clients over the years including Adidas, Crocs, Dick’s Sporting Goods, New Balance and Reebok.

Bierman has a Master’s of Business Administration in Marketing and Sales from Northeastern University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Montclair State University.
