US: Finish Line names VP of planning and allocation

US sportswear retailer The Finish Line has promoted Amber Vanes as vice president of planning and allocation.
She has been with the company for seven years, most recently as senior buyer/DMM for The Running Specialty Group, which The Finish Line acquired last year. In her new role, Vanes will develop and evolve key financial and merchandising strategies.
"Amber's experience with The Running Specialty Group, together with her past roles as an apparel buyer and manager of planning and allocation for soft goods at Finish Line, make her uniquely prepared for the challenge of this new position," said Finish Line president Sam Sato.
She was previously a senior business analyst at Marshall Field and Company.
