Retail chain Fotex is to offer refunds to customers who bought counterfeit products from its stores.

Fotex, which belongs to Dutch retail group Dansk Supermarked and has 70 stores in Denmark, admitted to selling fake versions of Saga Mink leather products manufactured by Saga Furs of Scandinavia. 

Under to Danish legislation, customers have the right to demand an original version of the product.

Fotex has already been ordered to pay compensation to US fashion group Warnaco Inc for trademark violations, and to German sportswear company Puma for imitating its sports shoes.
