UK: Four injured as Mango hoarding falls on Oxford St

A hoarding in front of a Mango store on Oxford Street fell this afternoon (7 March), injuring four people.

"We are extremely sorry that this accident occurred and we offer our sincere apologies to the injured people," said Mango board member Daniel Lopez.

"All safety measures were in place and it was unfortunate that this accident happened. We will of course be investigating this matter thoroughly and we will be issuing another statement once we have more details. Our thoughts at the moment are with the injured people and their families."

The severity of the injuries is not known at this time.

The intersection between Oxford Street and Great Portland Street has been closed in both directions and the hoarding was being held up by two police vans.
